During the discussion, master's and doctoral students raised many practical questions based on their own scientific research studies and industry observations. Chairman Yang Zhiguo answered one by one based on the company's practical experience:
Q1: Automated production lines can be operated by one person and smart manufacturing continues to become more popular. Will this cause a large number of people to lose their jobs?
Answer: Automation is an inevitable trend in the development of the manufacturing industry. Traditional manual assembly line positions will decrease, but at the same time, a large number of new positions will be created such as equipment research and development and debugging, Internet of Things operation and maintenance, foreign trade, and technical services. In the early years, all equipment relied on overseas imports. After the rise of domestic industries, the overall industrial value increased. Independent innovation is the core competitiveness of enterprises.
Q2: Many peer companies choose to expand their scale and enter the capital market. Why does your company adhere to the line of specialization and refinement and does not plan to expand rapidly with the help of capital?
Answer: Listing is prone to being coerced by capital and can easily deviate from the original business intention. We are deeply involved in market segments and do not expand blindly. We focus on building a stable and high-quality brand. We rely on our own R&D and global channels to achieve long-term stable operations and maintain stable profit margins.
Q3: Nowadays, many young people give priority to taking the civil service examination. What do you think of the two options for young people to take the civil service examination and enter the physical manufacturing industry?
Answer: Currently, competition in public examinations is serious. Intelligent manufacturing in real industries, industrial interconnection, cross-border trade, and artificial intelligence are all high-quality tracks that the country is focusing on developing. Young people are pragmatic and deeply involved in industry, and continue to learn and improve their abilities. They also have broad development prospects.
Q4: With fierce market competition and severe industry involution, what is the core way for your company to achieve long-term stable profitability?
Answer: We insist on independent research and development of iterative products, do not follow the low-price competition route, and rely on our own patents and R&D technologies, global market layout, and improved supporting services to establish differentiated competitive advantages.
Q5: AI and the Internet of Everything have become industry hot spots. What are the future development opportunities for the manufacturing industry?
Answer: In the future, the manufacturing industry will develop toward automation, AI intelligence, unmanned operations, and globalization; domestic equipment will gradually replace imported equipment, the Industrial Internet of Things will be fully implemented, and the export of domestic products overseas will be a long-term development opportunity.
Q6: We are deeply engaged in the research and development of targeted drugs in life sciences. Why do we need to carry out industry-university-research exchanges and cooperation with equipment manufacturing companies?
Answer: Universities have cutting-edge theories and scientific research talents, and companies have industrial implementation scenarios and equipment research and development capabilities. The two-way complementation of industry, academia and research can not only help the implementation of supporting packaging technology for biopharmaceuticals, but also allow young students to enter the real industry and combine theory with practice.
